Here are the basics of how postage works.
How is Postage Calculated?
Postage is based on your mailing list, weight of piece, and size of piece. With these three things combined we can calculate the exact cost of what your postage will be. If you can provide your mailing list we can provide an exact cost for postage.
What if I Don’t Have My List Ready Yet?
We can provide a rough estimate if you can tell us if your list will be a LOCAL LIST (mails to addresses in Arizona) or a NATIONAL LIST (mails nationwide). With this info we can provide a rough estimate for your budgeting purposes, once we receive a final mail list. We can provide an exact postage costs and Postage Statement from the post office. This is like an invoice from the post office since you will be paying the post office for postage not Courier Graphics. Courier Graphics does not invoice for postage.
Who Do I Pay For Postage?
All postage funds go directly to US POSTMASTER, you can deliver the check to us, and we can facilitate the hand off with the job, but no postage will be paid to Courier Graphics.
How Do I Pay For Postage?
1) Write a check to US POSTMASTER for the postage amount only. Funds are due at least 2 days before we drop at post office.
2) Pay with a credit card. Our mail house can send a payment link to pay for postage, fees may apply.
3) Pay with an INDICIA. If you have ongoing mailing projects throughout the year, you may purchase a postal indicia from the post office so that the postage comes directly out of your postage account (we recommend this option). There is a one-time fee of $255 and annual permit fee of $265.
